It features guest vocals from Emily Yacina, and comes with an animated black-and-white video made by longtime (Sandy) Alex G collaborator Elliot Bech.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSouthern Sky\u201d follows previously released&nbsp;<em>House of Sugar<\/em> tracks, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/sandy-alex-g-returns-with-house-of-sugar-releases-new-song-gretel-844027\/\">\u201cGretel\u201d<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/sandy-alex-g-new-song-hope-north-american-tour-dates-858918\/\">\u201cHope.\u201d<\/a> The album marks (Sandy) Alex G\u2019s first since 2017\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Rocket<\/em> and he\u2019s set to embark on a North American tour in support of the LP October 17th in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n<p>(Sandy) Alex G&nbsp;emerged as an indie rock prodigy in 2014, drawing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/indie-pop-prodigy-alex-g-on-his-dreamy-new-album-beach-music-74173\/\">huge crowds to Philadelphia house shows<\/a> to see him play the songs he made in his bedroom while he was a student at Temple University (at the time he performed under the non-parenthetical moniker \u201cAlex G,\u201d which he changed in 2017).
