The shoegaze cover will appear on Hasselhoff\u2019s upcoming LP <em>Open Your Eyes<\/em>, out September 27th via Cleopatra Records.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Baywatch<\/em> icon stays true to the original \u201cHead On,\u201d which Jesus and Mary Chain released as a single in 1989, complete with synths, drum machine and layers upon layers of guitar feedback. \u201cMakes you want to feel makes you want to try,\u201d Hasselhoff sings, his voice swelling over a searing riff. \u201cMakes you want to blow the stars from the sky.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The track isn\u2019t the only Eighties cover featured on the record. Hasselhoff recently dropped a rendition of Lord of the New Church\u2019s 1982 song <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/david-hasselhoff-open-your-eyes-video-watch-882513\/\">\u201cOpen Your Eyes\u201d<\/a> featuring the Stooges\u2019 James Williamson on guitar.
