Cate Le Bon<\/a> and Deerhunter<\/a>\u2019s Bradford Cox<\/a> pay tribute to bored office workers on their new art-rock song, \u201cSecretary.\u201d The track is the first single off their collaborative EP Myths 004,<\/em> out November 1st via Mexican Summer.<\/p>\n

The track features subtle cymbals to mirror the monotonous day-to-day life of office workers who eat \u201cthe same old plastic lunch.\u201d Le Bon takes the lead, her delicate vocals uttering the chorus: \u201cCan I take some time?\/Can you stay on hold?\/Take a holiday\/Make amendments.\u201d<\/p>\n

Myths 004<\/em> is the fourth album in the label\u2019s Myths EP series. The duo wrote and recorded the album in a week in Marfa, Texas, in April 2018. \u201cMarfa is an extraordinary town,\u201d Le Bon said in a statement. \u201cIt feels like nothing else exists when you\u2019re in it, which is both comforting and unnerving.\u201d<\/p>\n

Le Bon also unveiled Have a Seat<\/em>, a mini-documentary that captures her furniture building residency at the label\u2019s Marfa Myths Festival in 2018. She describes the year-long hiatus she took from music and the oak chair she made in the process. \u201cIt\u2019s not comfortable, and it\u2019s not particularly beautiful,\u201d she told Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> in May. \u201cI built myself a strange little throne, really.\u201d<\/p>\n
