As <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/news\/watch-nick-cave-cover-daniel-johnstons-devil-town\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><em>Pitchfork<\/em><\/a> points out, Cave paid homage to Johnston during his recent New York and Washington D.C. tour stops.<\/p>\n<p>In line with the original, Cave delivered Johnston\u2019s 1990 song as a heartfelt, poignant a cappella, which was captured via fan footage. The National also recently covered \u201cDevil Town\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/the-national-devil-town-daniel-johnston-883351\/\">in honor of Johnston<\/a>. Cave\u2019s solo tour will wrap on October 15th at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, California.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Nsy4KfmCwfA?version=3&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Next month, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/nick-cave-and-the-bad-seeds\/\" id=\"auto-tag_nick-cave-and-the-bad-seeds\" data-tag=\"nick-cave-and-the-bad-seeds\">Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds<\/a> will release their newly announced double album, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/nick-cave-new-album-ghosteen-888656\/\"><em>Ghosteen<\/em><\/a>. Out digitally on October 4th, the first part of the album comprises eight songs, while Part Two features two songs that are linked by a spoken word piece. \u201cThe songs on the first album are the children,\u201d the singer said in a statement. \u201cThe songs on the second album are their parents. <em>Ghosteen<\/em> is a migrating spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The band will premiere the album via YouTube as well as hold special listening events around the world on October 3rd, the day before the album will be released digitally.
