Titled <em>Losst and Founnd<\/em>, the record will arrive on November 22nd via Omnivore Recordings.<\/p>\n<p>Nilsson was working on the record at the time of his death, and fans have sought for its release it ever since. It marks his first new material in nearly 40 years, following 1980\u2019s <em>Flash Harry<\/em>. Two singles have been released \u2014 the dreamy \u201cU.C.L.A.\u201d and \u201cLost and Found\u201d \u2014 which can be heard below.<\/p>\n<p>Produced by Mark Hudson, the record features nine new tracks and two covers by Yoko Ono and Jimmy Webb. Van Dyke Parks, drummer Jim Keltner, Webb and Nilsson\u2019s son Kiefo appears on the album. \u201cThis is a good representation of what my dad was doing and where his artistry was at this point,\u201d Kiefo told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/lifestyle\/style\/pop-genius-harry-nilsson-left-an-unreleased-record-behind-now-you-can-finally-hear-the-completed-version\/2019\/09\/24\/0ae20126-dec7-11e9-b199-f638bf2c340f_story.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><em>the Washington Post<\/em><\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s never going to sound like a George Tipton record from the 60s, but you still want to convey the sense of humor and wit and elegance to the songwriting. That\u2019s what he leaves behind.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following the 2010 documentary <em>Who Is Harry Nilsson (And Why Is Everybody Talkin\u2019 About Him)?<\/em> and the prominent use of his song <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/harry-nilsson-gotta-get-up-1971-russian-doll-793372\/\">\u201cGotta Get Up\u201d<\/a> on Netflix\u2019s <em>Russian Doll<\/em>, the late musician has sparked interest in the last decade. \u201cI wanted somebody who was connected to a lineage of a certain kind of difficulty, or who gave you a certain effect,\u201d Natasha Lyonne said of using the song on the show. \u201cThe sound of their voice would in and of itself be a reminder: a juxtaposition of the unpleasantness and the grandeur of the human experience on a daily basis. Harry Nilsson, specifically, encapsulates that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The album will be available on digital and CD, as well as pressed on all-white vinyl.
