This is how ‘Heaven’ started life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Blink-182<\/strong>‘s ‘NINE’ hasn’t even been out for a week, but we’ve already been treated to a peak behind the album. <\/p>\n

Travis Barker has revived his YouTube channel for the first time in almost a year, and shared the demo of ‘NINE’ album track ‘Heaven’. Accompanying the track upload was a short explanation, with Travis sharing “This demo inevitably turned into ‘Heaven’ on ‘NINE’ – blink-182 album. It was a small piece of a 45 minute jam \/ writing session with my friend Chris Greatti. The rest is history.”<\/em><\/p>\n

The track doesn’t have any vocals, but you can absolutely hear how this was shaped into the final version of ‘Heaven’ which appeared on the album. <\/p>\n

Speaking with Vogue<\/a>, blink-182 frontman Mark Hoppus shared about ‘Heaven’ that it’s written about the 2018 mass shooting in Thousand Oaks, California. \u201cIt means a lot to me personally,\u201d<\/em> Mark shared. \u201cWhat started off as a song about broken hearts became a song about living in America in 2019.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n
