Bruce Springsteen<\/a> will accompany his upcoming film Western Stars<\/em><\/a>, based on his recent solo album<\/a>, with a soundtrack featuring live re-recordings of the LP\u2019s tracks plus a new cover of Glen Campbell<\/a>\u2019s \u201cRhinestone Cowboy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Western Stars \u2013 Songs from the Film<\/em> is out on October 25th, the same day as the film\u2019s arrival on theaters. It features Springsteen backed by a band (including his wife Patti Scialfa) and a full orchestra as he performs Western Stars<\/em>\u2018 13 songs at Stone Hill Farm in Colts Neck, New Jersey, the singer\u2019s own ranch.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think ending up in the barn had a lot to do with the way the thing felt, you know? It was just kind of gritty and intimate,\u201d Springsteen said recently at the Toronto International Film Festival, where the film premiered. \u201cIt was very intimate, which is what a lot of the songs are.\u201d<\/p>\n

The soundtrack\u2019s audio is pulled directly from the \u201ccinematic retelling\u201d of his 2018 LP. Like the film itself, the soundtrack concludes with a riveting rendition of Glen Campbell\u2019s classic \u201cRhinestone Cowboy.\u201d<\/p>\n
