Jennifer Lopez<\/a> and Shakira<\/a> announced on Twitter today that they will be performing at the Super Bowl<\/a> LIV Pepsi Halftime Show. The performance will air live from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, on February 2nd.<\/p>\n

\u201cEver since I saw Diana Ross fly off into the sky at the Halftime Show, I dreamed of performing at the Super Bowl,\u201d Lopez said in a statement. \u201cAnd now it\u2019s made even more special not only because it\u2019s the NFL<\/a>\u2019s 100th anniversary, but also because I am performing with a fellow Latina. I can\u2019t wait to show what us girls can do on the world\u2019s biggest stage.\u201d<\/p>\n

The two pop stars and the official NFL account, which also posted an announcement, provided few details on what to expect from the performance. Adam Schefter, a senior reporter for ESPN, followed up the news with a scoop that other performers were \u201cexpected to be added\u201d to the show.<\/p>\n

Lopez, who has spent the summer promoting her starring role in the film Hustlers<\/em>, had previously hinted at the news, telling Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a> in July, \u201cYeah, we\u2019ve thought about the Super Bowl and it\u2019s in Miami, it\u2019s a big deal but we\u2019ll see. They make their own decisions over there.\u201d She also appeared in an NFL promotional video<\/a> earlier this month, saying coyly, \u201cFootball is finally back, and this season is special.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Super Bowl LIV marks the first under the NFL\u2019s recent partnership with Jay-Z\u2019s Roc Nation<\/a>, which is co-producing the event. \u201cThe NFL has a great big platform, and it has to be all-inclusive,\u201d Jay-Z<\/a> said of the partnership earlier this month. \u201cThey were willing to do some things, to make some changes, that we can do some good.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThese two remarkable artists are setting a new precedent for what this show can become, and we\u2019re confident that this will be an incredible performance for the ages,\u201d Pepsi\u2019s vice president of marketing Todd Kaplan said in a statement.<\/p>\n
