The singer and guitarist brought passion and fervor to \u201cPearl Cadillac\u201d with a thunderous guitar solo, and slowed things down for the soothing ballad that came after.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Z1pVNs3jAjg?version=3&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>For \u201cPearl Cadillac,\u201d a song that pays tribute to Clark\u2019s mother, the musician recently shared <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/gary-clark-jr-pearl-cadillac-video-887792\/\">a stylized music video<\/a> that borrows from <em>film noir&nbsp;<\/em>and classic Hollywood road movies. He also contributed a guitar solo to Macy Gray\u2019s new single <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/macy-gray-buddha-video-teyana-taylor-874231\/\">\u201cBuddha.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Clark is currently on tour in support of&nbsp;<em>This Land<\/em>, with upcoming stops in Santa Barbara, Berkeley and Los Angeles. The tour will wrap at Austin City Limits with two performances on October 5th and October 12th.
