Shaquita and her older sister, Taniqua, 31, co-direct the estate of Russell Jones, otherwise known as Ol\u2019 Dirty Bastard of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/wu-tang-clan\/\" id=\"auto-tag_wu-tang-clan\" data-tag=\"wu-tang-clan\">Wu-Tang Clan<\/a>. Their 30-year-old brother, Barsun, doesn\u2019t manage the estate, but carries his father\u2019s energy with him every day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI swear to y\u2019all \u2026 I feel like my father\u2019s spirit left him, his body in the casket, and went into my brother,\u201d Taniqua says. Barsun\u2019s sisters once saw him as shy and soft-spoken. Today, he\u2019s an entrepreneur and rapper with the stage name \u201cYoung Dirty Bastard,\u201d who confidently asserts that his money and personality are his own \u2014 not his father\u2019s. \u201cWe got the same looks, but our brain is different. I don\u2019t smoke, I don\u2019t drink,\u201d Barsun says, though he did adopt his dad\u2019s name and hairstyle. \u201cI learned from his mistakes more than anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>ODB\u2019s children say their father is misunderstood, and that behind the character, Jones was a devoted family man. \u201cHe just played with us all the time \u2014 he was like a big kid,\u201d Taniqua says, \u201cEverybody sees this crazy, crazy person that did drugs. But nobody really sees who he was.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While Shaquita focuses on being a mom and working toward her MBA at Devry, Taniqua and Barsun are starring in reality series <em>Growing Up Hip Hop: New York<\/em>. The three of them were barely teenagers when ODB passed in 2004, and while the public debate surrounding his accidental overdose increased, Taniqua was onstage with Method Man feeling the love of Wu-Tang fans.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s so relevant today,\u201d she says. \u201cI feel like when people die, or pass away, you don\u2019t really see much of them.
