He eventually declares that \u201clove\u2019s absent,\u201d explaining why the woman is so withdrawn. As the song picks up the pace, so does Pop; he punches the air, whips his hair and offers up chef\u2019s kisses as he sings, \u201cI love you.\u201d Meanwhile, the woman descends into an array of light and color.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/magazine\/2019\/09\/02\/the-survival-of-iggy-pop\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">A <em>New Yorker<\/em> profile<\/a> called \u201cLoves Missing\u201d <em>Free\u2019s<\/em> most personal track, although Pop didn\u2019t explain specifically why or how.<\/p>\n<p>Pop filmed his part of the video at Sweat Records in Miami. The clip, which Simon Taylor directed, also features Ale Campos from the Miami band Las Nubes.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the laid-back record\u2019s release, Pop issued videos for a number of its songs, including the new-agey <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/iggy-pop-new-album-free-860520\/\">\u201cFree,\u201d<\/a> the smoothly swaggering <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/iggy-pop-james-bond-video-871736\/\">\u201cJames Bond\u201d<\/a> and skittery <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/hear-iggy-pops-synth-laden-new-song-sonali-878378\/\">\u201cSonali.\u201d<\/a> Earlier this month, he appeared on <em>The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em>, where he performed an upbeat take of \u201cJames Bond\u201d with backing music by the Roots, saxophonist Leron Thomas and guitarist Noveller.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/iggy-pop-interview-free-big-read\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">NME<\/a><\/em> about the album, Pop gave his definition of freedom. \u201cFreedom is being able to respect your own feelings and act on them but not all the time and not too much,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019ve tried that in life.
