The track was written by Cabello, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/ryan-tedder\/\" id=\"auto-tag_ryan-tedder\" data-tag=\"ryan-tedder\">Ryan Tedder<\/a>, Lou Bell and Frank Dukes, and produced by Bell and Dukes, who also worked on the singer\u2019s hits \u201cHavana\u201d and \u201cNever Be the Same.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The pop number takes on that feeling after a breakup where you want your ex to be just as miserable as you are. Cabello croons, \u201cWhen I said I hope you\u2019re happy I didn\u2019t mean it\/ Never thought you would be so good at moving on\/ When I\u2019m lying wide awake you\u2019re probably sleeping\/ And maybe what I\u2019m thinking is wrong\/ I want you to cry for me, cry for me\/ Say you\u2019d die for me, die for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cabello recently released two other songs, \u201cShameless\u201d and \u201cLiar,\u201d her first solo tracks since 2018.
