Swift played her raw rendition of \u201cLover\u201d against a matching backdrop of scattered, airborne papers frozen in time.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QMQ5EHRj3Jk?version=3&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The singer later returned to Studio 8H to debut her track \u201cFalse God\u201d live for the first time. Swift swapped the shamrock background for pitch black as she sauntered across the stage to a live sax for the jazz-tinged song.<\/p>\n<p>In September, Swift <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/taylor-swift-rolling-stone-interview-880794\/\">gave a revealing interview to&nbsp;<em>Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> about everything from her new album to politics, mental health and Kanye West.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith this album, I felt like I sort of gave myself permission to revisit older themes that I used to write about, maybe look at them with fresh eyes. And to revisit older instruments \u2014 older in terms of when I used to use them,\u201d Swift told <em>Rolling Stone<\/em> of <em>Lover<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>While she envisioned reputation as a \u201cnighttime cityscape\u201d inspired by old warehouse buildings, <em>Lover<\/em> found itself embracing wood floors. <em>\u201cLover<\/em> is, like, completely just a barn wood floor and some ripped curtains flowing in the breeze, and fields of flowers and, you know, velvet,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Swift also recently revealed that she wouldn\u2019t be doing a traditional world tour for her latest record, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/taylor-swift-lover-fest-tour-dates-885897\/\">announcing 2020\u2019s \u201cLover Fest\u201d stadium shows<\/a>.
