Kim Gordon<\/a> unveiled a cacophonous new ripper, \u201cHungry Baby,\u201d from her forthcoming debut solo album, No Home Record<\/em>, out October 11th via Matador.<\/p>\n

The song boasts pummeling drums, a bass line that could register on the Richter scale and a wash of feedback that Gordon molds into something that teeters on the edge of discordant and melodic.<\/p>\n

Her vocals hold the track together as she breathlessly seethes, \u201cI\u2019ll take you in\/I\u2019ll put you out\/I\u2019ll tell you stories of what you\u2019ve got,\u201d before extending the verse with a litany of \u201cYeah yeah yeah\u201d\u2018s that build to a fevered howl.<\/p>\n

\u201cHungry Baby\u201d marks the latest offering from No Home Record<\/em>, following \u201cMurdered Out,\u201d<\/a> \u201cSketch Artist,\u201d<\/a>  and \u201cAir BnB.\u201d<\/a> She\u2019s also released video shorts featuring snippets of album cuts \u201cPaprika Pony\u201d<\/a> and \u201cDon\u2019t Play It.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

Gordon made No Home Record<\/em> with producer Justin Raisen, with contributions from Shawn Everett and composer\/filmmaker Jake Meginsky.<\/p>\n

While No Home Record<\/em> marks Gordon\u2019s first solo record, since Sonic Youth\u2019s split, she\u2019s released three records with Bill Name as Body\/Head. The duo\u2019s first album, Coming Apart,<\/em> arrived in 2013, while their most recent, The Switch<\/em>, was released last July.<\/p>\n
