{"id":491007,"date":"2019-10-08T04:43:30","date_gmt":"2019-10-08T10:43:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/?p=896150"},"modified":"2019-10-08T04:43:30","modified_gmt":"2019-10-08T10:43:30","slug":"watch-noah-cyrus-emotional-music-video-for-lonely","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kqzr\/music-news\/watch-noah-cyrus-emotional-music-video-for-lonely\/","title":{"rendered":"Watch Noah Cyrus\u2019 Emotional Music Video for \u2018Lonely\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/unnamed-1.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/noah-cyrus\/\" id=\"auto-tag_noah-cyrus\" data-tag=\"noah-cyrus\">Noah Cyrus<\/a> has released a heart-wrenching black and white music video for her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/noah-cyrus-lonely-new-song-890916\/\">recent single<\/a> \u201cLonely.\u201d Co-directed by Symone Ridgell and Cyrus, the video features choir members sourced by the Los Angeles LGBT Center\u2019s Music Program, which helps empower young people with music.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSometimes there can be dozens of people around you, but you still feel lonely,\u201d Cyrus said in a statement. \u201cI wanted the video to show what it could really feel like.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s about vulnerability, trauma and dropping your facade, but also about human connection and finding strength among others (one of the many reasons it felt particularly powerful to work with the Los Angeles LGBT Center),\u201d Ridgell added. \u201cLyrically,&nbsp;<span class=\"il\">Noah<\/span>\u2018s music is always strikingly raw, and for this song, a video that reflects that is the only kind that could be justified to accompany it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLonely,\u201d written by Cyrus herself, is the musician\u2019s second new song of the year, following up the similarly moody \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/noah-cyrus-july-new-song-video-865089\/\">July.<\/a>\u201d \u201c\u2018Lonely\u2019 came to me during a really dark time in my life and is about self struggle and feeling out of place,\u201d Cyrus wrote in a statement. \u201cBut the amazing thing is that it put me on the path to getting help and I hope it does the same for my fans who need it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cyrus hasn\u2019t yet announced whether either track will appear on an upcoming album, although she has confirmed she\u2019s been in the studio writing and recording.
