Dead.net will offer an exclusive colored vinyl edition of the 2-LP (with one red and one blue disc), limited to 2,000 copies.<\/p>\n<p><em>Ready or Not<\/em> features late-period Grateful Dead songs debuted onstage in 1992 and 1993 by their final lineup: singer-guitarist Jerry Garcia, drummer Mickey Hart, drummer <span class=\"s1\">Bill Kreutzmann, bassist Phil Lesh, singer-guitarist Bob Weir and then-new keyboardist Vince Welnick. The versions on the LP run up through April 1995, four months before Garcia died from a heart attack.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Notable selections include the Garcia\/Robert Hunter composition \u201cDays Between\u201d; Bob Weir\u2019s collaboration with Rob Wasserman and blues icon Willie Dixon, \u201cEternity\u201d; and two songs written by Weir and Hunter, \u201cCorinna\u201d and \u201cEasy Answers.\u201d One track from the project, a live version of \u201cLazy River Road\u201d recorded March 25th, 1993 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is now streaming.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/azlxI-nnyw4?version=3&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The band issued their 13th and final studio album, <em>Built to Last<\/em>, in 1989, and they were unable to complete studio versions of the subsequent Nineties live cuts before Garcia\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Ready Or Not<\/em> has been a long time coming,\u201d Lemieux said in a statement. \u201cIt\u2019s an album we\u2019ve been working on for many, many years. This batch of \u2018new\u2019 Grateful Dead songs has never been compiled in one place and given its proper due as a huge part of the Dead\u2019s late-era legacy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany of these songs can easily stand alongside some of the Dead\u2019s oldest, most-loved songs as bona fide classics despite their short tenure in the repertoire,\u201d he continued. \u201cWe\u2019ve dug deep into the archive and listened to countless live versions of these songs to find the best, most definitive live performances. When the Grateful Dead were \u2018on\u2019 in their later years, their live concerts were as good as any era in their history.
