Rusty hoped that [this album] would sonically fit alongside what\u2019s happening in trap and reggaeton,\u201d Panda Bear previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/panda-bear-interview-buoys-animal-collective-790459\/\">told <em>Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> of <em>Buoys<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlaying the Long Game\u201d is accompanied by a Fernanda Pereira-directed music video featuring Panda Bear and a trio of masked women slowly walking along riverside paths.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe song is about a brief series of thoughts I had one morning about who I am, what I\u2019m doing, and where I\u2019m going,\u201d Noah \u201cPanda Bear\u201d Lennox said in a statement. \u201cHope you enjoy it and hope all\u2019s well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Panda Bear is currently on the road with Animal Collective for a brief U.S. tour during which the band has focused on mostly new material; following the six-date trek, Animal Collective plans on entering the studio to work on the follow-up to 2016\u2019s <em>Painting With<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/panda-bear-playing-the-long-game-896818\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Rolling Stone<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Panda Bear has shared his bass-heavy new song \u201cPlaying the Long Game,\u201d a one-off single that follows the Animal Collective member\u2019s 2019 solo LP Buoys.
