Ulrich, in turn, noted that the band\u2019s roots were in bands like AC\/DC, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin. \u201cWe were on much more blues-based, harder rock &amp; roll stuff,\u201d he said. \u201cSo we just started playing it a little faster as we went along.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ulrich also recalled watching AC\/DC every night during that trek and the impact it had on the band as they prepared to take the next step in their career. \u201cPlaying with you guys on that run in 1991, which was the last time we really sort of supported anybody, we were in heaven getting a chance to be close to you guys and watch you every night for six weeks,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Johnson\u2019s <em>A Life on the Road<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/ac-dcs-brian-johnson-details-new-interview-travel-tv-series-120989\/\">premiered in the U.K.<\/a> and Ireland in 2017 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/brian-johnsons-life-on-the-road-series-coming-to-american-television-857397\/\">arrived in the United States<\/a> last month.
