{"id":491592,"date":"2019-10-24T08:47:31","date_gmt":"2019-10-24T14:47:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/?p=903183"},"modified":"2019-10-24T08:47:31","modified_gmt":"2019-10-24T14:47:31","slug":"watch-guns-n-roses-perform-dead-horse-for-first-time-in-26-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kqzr\/music-news\/watch-guns-n-roses-perform-dead-horse-for-first-time-in-26-years\/","title":{"rendered":"Watch Guns N\u2019 Roses Perform \u2018Dead Horse\u2019 for First Time in 26 Years"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/gunsnroses.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p>Guns N\u2019 Roses are three and a half years into their <em>Not in This Lifetime<\/em> reunion tour, but they are still finding ways to sprinkle surprises into their shows.<\/p>\n<p>The latest one came Wednesday night at Oklahoma City\u2019s Chesapeake Energy Arena when they dug out the<em> Use Your Illusion<\/em> deep cut \u201cDead Horse\u201d for the first time since 1993.<\/p>\n<p>The group took a long break after wrapping up the previous leg of the tour at Hawaii\u2019s Aloha Stadium on December 8th, 2018, but they picked up again last month to hit a handful of festival dates and arena gigs in secondary markets like Lincoln, Nebraska, and Jacksonville, Florida. The tour wraps up with two shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in early November, but will resume in March when they play a series of Lollapalooza dates in South America.<\/p>\n<p>The Guns N\u2019 Roses setlist is built around their large catalog of hits, but they\u2019ve also resurrected lesser-known songs like \u201cLocomotive,\u201d \u201cOut Ta Get Me\u201d and \u201cShadow of Your Love,\u201d in addition to the Velvet Revolver tune \u201cSlither\u201d and covers like Soundgarden\u2019s \u201cBlack Hole Sun,\u201d Glen Campbell\u2019s \u201cWichita Lineman\u201d and the Who\u2019s \u201cThe Seeker.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One thing they haven\u2019t done is perform any new songs, although the band has hinted many times in recent interviews that they may headed into the studio at some point in the near future to record their first LP since 2008\u2019s <em>Chinese Democracy<\/em> and their first with Slash and Duff McKagan back in the band since the 1993 covers collection <em>The Spaghetti Incident.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/guns-n-roses-dead-horse-903183\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Rolling Stone<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Guns N\u2019 Roses are three and a half years into their Not in This Lifetime reunion tour, but they are still finding ways to sprinkle surprises into their shows.
