A day before the (hopeful) release of his ninth studio album, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/kanye-west-jesus-is-king-imax-forum-premiere-903335\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Jesus Is King<\/em><\/a>, Apple Music and Zane Lowe unveiled a two-hour interview with West. The most lighthearted moment of the conversation arrives when West tells a story (unclear if it\u2019s an elaborate troll or a real moment of sincerity) about leaving his new phone number at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/drake\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Drake<\/a>\u2018s house after a year spent at odds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou cannot be in service to God and be mad at your brother next door. I go to Drake\u2019s house,\u201d West told Lowe. \u201cI walk over there with no security and just will leave my phone number. Here\u2019s my cell. I\u2019m not trying to ring the doorbell and say, \u2018You gotta come outside right now.\u2019 He might be busy. He got a studio in there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last summer, West, Pusha T, and Drake engaged in a feud that saw multiple diss tracks (\u201cInfrared,\u201d \u201cDuppy Freestyle,\u201d and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/drakes-march-14-and-pusha-ts-the-story-of-adidon-a-complicated-relationship-696198\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u201cThe Story of Adidon\u201d<\/a>) and the surprising reveal that Graham had fathered a child that the general public did not know about. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/drake-pusha-t-feud-kanye-west-lebron-james-the-shop-737444\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Drake claimed<\/a> that he played a song about his son to West in Wyoming, which is how G.O.O.D. Music President, Pusha T found out. Pusha revealed that Drake\u2019s close collaborator and producer, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/pusha-t-drake-40-joe-budden-podcast-adidon-738849\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Noah \u201c40\u201d Shebib, was partially responsible<\/a> for the leak of information. Subliminals and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/kanye-west-drake-fight-on-twitter-768978\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">social media jabs<\/a> continued, only adding to the appearance that the relationship was beyond repair.<\/p>\n<p><!-- .l-article-content__pull--left --> <\/p>\n<p>Later in the interview, Lowe asks West about the status of his relationship with Jay-Z, which has also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2017\/11\/29\/t-magazine\/jay-z-dean-baquet-interview.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">gone through turmoil<\/a>. In true Kanye fashion, he uses the moment to talk about the lineage of rap royalty. \u201cWith Jay, I love all of these people, but you got to know there\u2019s a lineage of Jay to Ye to Drake,\u201d West continued. \u201cIt\u2019s this person is your idol. Then you get to know \u2019em, then you be friends, then you turn to frenemies, then you turn to enemies, and then you gotta bring back the positive energy.
