In a segment on <em>The Late Late Show<\/em> called \u201cFather Finders\u201d Corden seeks out his real dad, who turns out to be none other than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/marcus-mumford\/\" id=\"auto-tag_marcus-mumford\" data-tag=\"marcus-mumford\">Marcus Mumford<\/a>, frontman of Mumford &amp; Sons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI took a test and it\u2019s a perfect match,\u201d Corden tells Mumford after confronting him in a hallway. \u201cYou\u2019re my father.\u201d The pair emotionally hug as Mumford exclaims, \u201cMy son!\u201d It\u2019s not all happily ever, though, when Mumford brings Corden to meet his bandmates and break the news that he\u2019s a dad again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is amazing,\u201d Corden tells them. \u201cMy two biggest dreams are coming true: I found my real dad and I\u2019m now in a famous band.\u201d The musicians try to explain that the band isn\u2019t actually made up of Mumford\u2019s sons, but Corden isn\u2019t having it and changes the name to Mumford &amp; Son &amp; 3 Other Guys. Corden takes over playing the tambourine and singing during the band\u2019s rehearsal, which doesn\u2019t go so well. The drama builds until the realization comes that Corden is way older than Mumford and might not be his son after all.<\/p>\n<p>Mumford &amp; Sons\u2019 last album, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/review-mumford-and-sons-epic-bummer-delta-757483\/\"><em>Delta<\/em><\/a>, dropped last year. They recently capped off their extensive tour in support of the album with a performance at Austin City Limits, where the band was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/lars-ulrich-metallica-mumford-and-sons-the-wolf-acl-fest-899205\/\">joined onstage<\/a> was Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich for a performance of \u201cThe Wolf.\u201d The band will&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mumfordandsons.com\/live\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">return<\/a>&nbsp;for a handful of holiday shows in New York, San Jose and Chicago in early December.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/james-corden-marcus-mumford-father-finders-903667\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Rolling Stone<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Apparently James Corden\u2019s father isn\u2019t his father.
