Kesha<\/a> appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live<\/a><\/em> to perform her recent single \u201cRaising Hell\u201d<\/a> with the help of Big Freedia<\/a>. The singers were joined by a group of pink-clad dancers for the lively performance on Kimmel\u2019s outdoor stage, which kicked off with Kesha encouraging the audience to \u201cplease rise.\u201d \u201cOh, if you couldn\u2019t tell,\u201d Kesha sings on the rousing chorus. \u201cWe can always find the trouble, we don\u2019t need no help\/ Singing oh, mama raised me well\/ But I don\u2019t wanna go to Heaven without raisin\u2019 hell.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRaising Hell\u201d will appear on Kesha\u2019s upcoming album High Road<\/em><\/a>, which is due out January 10th. The album will include collaborations with Sturgill Simpson, Brian Wilson, Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons and Nate Ruess of Fun., among others. Kesha recently spoke to Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> about her return to pop music, including how she met Big Freedia and tapped the singer for her single.<\/p>\n

\u201cBig Freedia came on the Kesha cruise, and that\u2019s where we met,\u201d Kesha recounted. \u201cI\u2019d never been on a cruise before, and I was a little terrified, because I just watched the Fyre Fest documentary. And the first night, Big Freedia played, and I was like, \u2018Oh, this is going to be the best four days of my life.\u2019 And it was so much fucking fun. We got matching tattoos on our hands, and I got to know all her dancers. She pulled me up onstage. I have a fucked-up knee from when I tore my ACL, and she was like, \u2018Sit on the dick!\u2019 And I was like, \u2018I can\u2019t sit on the dick. Only my right knee\u2019s working.\u2019 And then by the end of it, we were both like, \u2018We have to collaborate. This is too good.\u2019 And then we wrote \u2018Raising Hell,\u2019 and I was like, \u2018OK, if this is going to maybe be the first single, I really want Freedia on it.’\u201d<\/p>\n
