The singer won Best New Artist at this year\u2019s Grammy Awards.<\/p>\n<p>For \u201cDon\u2019t Start Now,\u201d Lipa reunited with the same team who wrote and produced her breakthrough hit single \u201cNew Rules,\u201d which appeared on her self-titled, 2017 debut album. On her newest track, Lipa sings about moving on from a suffocating relationship, directly addressing her ex-lover. \u201cIf you don\u2019t wanna see me dancing with somebody\/If you wanna believe that anything could stop me,\u201d she sings on the pre-chorus, \u201cDon\u2019t show up\/Don\u2019t come out\/Don\u2019t start caring about me now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI chose to put this song out first so I could close one chapter of my life and&nbsp;<span class=\"markwclarnxyk\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac data-ogab data-ogsc data-ogsb>start<\/span> another,\u201d Lipa explained in a statement. \u201cInto a new era with a new sound! It\u2019s about moving on and not allowing anyone to get in the way of that. It also felt like a natural first song choice as I made it with the brilliant same crew I made \u2018New Rules\u2019 with.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following the release of her self-titled debut, Lipa has collaborated with a wide range of artists, like Calvin Harris, Andea Bocelli, Blackpink and Silk City (Mark Ronson and Diplo\u2019s duo). Her Silk City collaboration \u201cElectricity\u201d took home the Grammy for Best Dance Recording this year.
