{"id":491817,"date":"2019-11-02T11:34:35","date_gmt":"2019-11-02T17:34:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/?p=907416"},"modified":"2019-11-02T11:34:35","modified_gmt":"2019-11-02T17:34:35","slug":"dr-dre-to-receive-honor-during-2020-grammys-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kqzr\/music-news\/dr-dre-to-receive-honor-during-2020-grammys-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Dre to Receive Honor During 2020 Grammys Week"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/9985026et.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p>Grammy-winning producer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/dr-dre\/\" id=\"auto-tag_dr-dre\" data-tag=\"dr-dre\">Dr. Dre<\/a> is set to be honored at the Recording Academy\u2019s 13th annual Producers &amp; Engineers Wing during 2020 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/grammys\/\" id=\"auto-tag_grammys\" data-tag=\"grammys\">Grammys<\/a>&nbsp;Week.<\/p>\n<p>The kick-off event for Grammys Week, which is set to take place Jan. 22nd, will be held at the Village studios in West Los Angeles and \u201cwill pay tribute to the artistic achievements and innovations of Dre,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grammy.com\/grammys\/news\/dr-dre-be-honored-13th-annual-producers-engineers-wing-grammy-week-celebration\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">the Grammys announced<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Deborah Dugan, President\/CEO of the Recording Academy described Dr. Dre as \u201can influential force in music.\u201d \u201cDre breaks boundaries and inspires music creators across every genre. His evolution as a producer solidifies him as a leader of the pack within our industry, and we watch in amazement as he continues to shape the future of music,\u201d she said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout Dre\u2019s career, he\u2019s worked with Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige and Tupac Shakur. In recent years, he\u2019s worked with Kendrick Lamar and Anderson .Paak.<\/p>\n<p><i>Compton<\/i>, Dre\u2019s most recent album, was released in 2015. While <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefader.com\/2018\/01\/10\/dr-dre-detox-update\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">he revealed last year<\/a> that he was working on new material for his long-awaited third solo LP&nbsp;<i>Detox<\/i>, no music for it has been released thus far.<\/p>\n<p>While the event will pay tribute to Dre\u2019s legacy, it will also celebrate the creativity and achievements of the Producers &amp; Engineers Wing, which has more than 6,400 professional members.<\/p>\n<p>During 2019 Grammy Week, eight-time Grammy winner Willie Nelson received the same honor as Dre.
