My Chemical Romance are honouring their past as they move into the future.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

The dust is beginning to settle on the big news last week, that My Chemical Romance<\/strong> have reunited<\/a> for their first show in over seven years. <\/p>\n

If you somehow missed it, My Chemical Romance threw the internet into meltdown by announcing their comeback show for next month in Los Angeles. And they announced it with the phrase “Like Phantoms Forever…”<\/em>. <\/p>\n

If ‘Like Phantoms Forver’ sounds a little familiar to you, it probably is! It’s been a part of My Chemical Romance history from the beginning. <\/p>\n

‘Like Phantoms, Forever’ is the title of My Chemical Romance’s debut EP, released on July 19, 2002, and was released on Eyeball Records. <\/p>\n

Only 100 copies of ‘Like Phantoms, Forever’ were ever made, and the CD featured ‘Vampires Will Never Hurt You’, ‘This Is The Best Day Ever’, and a cover of ‘Jack The Ripper’ by Morrissey<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

The EP was recorded in Nada Studios by John Naclario (who you’ll be familiar with if you’ve watched My Chem’s Life On The Murder Scene DVD – the band cite that they periodically had to stop recording because John’s mum was vacumming above the studio space), and was produced by Thursday <\/strong>frontman Geoff Rickly. <\/p>\n

More fun facts – the artwork was done by MCR frontman Gerard Way, and was inspired by the artwork from the 1960s independent horror film The Tomb of Ligeia – which definitely makes sense when you consider Gerard’s natural proclivity for niche horror. <\/p>\n
