FKA Twigs<\/a> unveiled a new song, \u201cSad Day,\u201d from her forthcoming album, Magdalene<\/i>, set to arrive November 8th via Young Turks.<\/p>\n

\u201cSad Day\u201d finds Twigs caught in the throes of unrequited love, deep passion and heartbreak as the production shifts between an atmospheric synthscape and industrial stomp. Twigs\u2019 vocals tie the instrumentals and the song\u2019s themes together, reaching a kind of anguished serenity toward the end as she sings, \u201cThe city howls with a cry to seduce you\/And claim you\/So it\u2019s time\/And it\u2019s a sad day for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSad Day\u201d follows previously released Magdalene<\/i> cuts \u201cCellophane,\u201d<\/a> \u201cHoly Terrain,\u201d<\/a> featuring Future, and \u201cHome With You.\u201d<\/a> Magdalene<\/i> marks FKA Twigs\u2019 second album, and follows her 2014 debut, LP1<\/i><\/a>, as well as her 2015 followup EP, M3LL155X<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, FKA Twigs launched the second leg of her North American tour<\/a> in support of Magdalene<\/i> in Vancouver. The run continues Monday, November 4th, in Seattle and wraps November 20th in Brooklyn.<\/p>\n
