When Garth Brooks<\/a> was trying to make a point about how country music is so off-balance, he used his wife Trisha Yearwood<\/a> as the best real-life example of what\u2019s wrong.<\/p>\n

\u201c(She) works a thousand times harder than me to get a tenth as much as I do out of this business,\u201d Brooks told BBC. \u201cShe doesn\u2019t complain. She just rolls up her sleeves and goes to work.\u201d He went on to say that we don\u2019t have enough female voices, and that if we did, it would provide more variety and fresh perspectives. For everyone.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need that because guys,\u201d he said, \u201cwe open doors with our heads. We\u2019re not the smartest things on the planet. Females bring a whole different approach to how we see things.<\/p>\n

\u201cA good marriage between the male voice and the female voice, and country music, would be a true representation of what the people who listen to country music really are.\u201d<\/p>\n

His next album Fun<\/em> is due out later this year, and throughout his current statium tour, he\u2019s been playing a few songs off it: \u201cAll Day Long,\u201d \u201cThe Road I\u2019m On,\u201d and \u201cStronger Than Me.\u201d And to his point about women working hard, Yearwood hasn\u2019t exactly been idle. Earlier this year, she released an album of stunning Frank Sinatra covers called Let\u2019s Be Frank<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Brooks\u2019 next stop is on Friday night (May 3) in Minneapolis, and Yearwood will be there on Saturday with her Trisha\u2019s Tailgate event before the show.<\/p>\n
