Approximately $11 million in funding is available for the 2019 cycle.<\/strong><br \/><em>Courtesy Colorado Parks and Wildlife<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Colorado Parks and Wildlife has nearly $11 million in grant funding available for private landowners who want to protect wildlife habitats on their property, and to provide wildlife-related recreational access to the public.<\/p>\n<p>The Colorado Wildlife Habitat Program is a statewide program, incentive-based and voluntary that uses conservation easements, access easements and fee title purchases to reach strategic wildlife conservation goals and\/or public access goals.<\/p>\n<p>To apply, a landowner or a designee, must complete a project proposal that addresses one or more of the following CPW priorities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Public access for hunting, fishing, wildlife viewing<\/li>\n<li>Big-game winter range and migration corridors<\/li>\n<li>Protecting habitats for species of concern as identified in CPW statewide action plan<\/li>\n<li>Riparian areas and wetlands<\/li>\n<li>Landscape-scale parcels and parcels that provide connectivity to conserved lands<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All application materials, including the proposal instructions and proposal form, are available on the CPW website at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cpw.state.co.us\/aboutus\/Pages\/LandWaterCWHP.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">http:\/\/www.cpw.state.co.us\/aboutus\/Pages\/LandWaterCWHP.aspx<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Proposals will be accepted until 5 p.m. May 31.<\/p>\n<p>For more information about the CWHP or the application process, contact: Amanda Nims, Land Protection Specialists and Program Manager, CWHP RFP at Colorado Parks and Wildlife in Denver.<\/p>\n<p>The office is located at 6060 Broadway.
