The National Weather Service in Boulder has issued a winter storm watch for areas of north central Colorado, including Grand County, as heavy snow is expected to blanket the area.<\/p>\n

Two to 6 inches of snow is possible in the northern mountains, above 9,500 feet through Sunday evening, with the heaviest amounts expected to fall in the mountains north of I-70.<\/p>\n

A second storm will bring a much cooler airmass and significant precipitation Monday through Tuesday night, according to the weather service.<\/p>\n

There could be from 8 to 20 inches of snowfall in the mountains and foothills, including across Grand County.<\/p>\n

Scattered light rain showers will continue to move north across the plains with snow showers across the mountains & foothills above 8000 ft though the evening.
