Carrie Underwood<\/a>\u2019s music has always had an element of punk attitude. And it was on full display when she closed day two of CMA Fest\u2019s nightly concerts at Nissan Stadium on Friday (June 7).<\/p>\n

Joan Jett was Underwood\u2019s surprise guest for a medley of classics that included \u201cI Hate Myself for Loving You,\u201d \u201cBad Reputation,\u201d \u201cCrimson and Clover,\u201d \u201cFresh Start\u201d and \u201cI Love Rock \u2018n Roll.\u201d<\/p>\n

Like opening night, each headliner had 30 minutes to perform leaving only enough time for the hits.<\/p>\n

Brantley Gilbert and Lindsey Ell surprised the audience with \u201cWhat Happens in a Small Town.\u201d Thomas Rhett and Jon Pardi shared the spotlight for \u201cBeer Can\u2019t Fix.\u201d Dan + Shay had one of the loudest crowd singalongs as Shay Mooney and Dan Smyers rolled through the material that changed their lives forever including \u201cTequila,\u201d \u201cSpeechless,\u201d \u201cHow Not To\u201d and \u201cAll to Myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eric Church arranged a series of his biggest songs for a 30-minute acoustic medley that bookended with \u201cMistress Named Music\u201d and featured \u201cSpringsteen,\u201d \u201cPledge Allegiance to the Hag\u201d and \u201cDrink in My Hand,\u201d among others.<\/p>\n

Little Big Town packed their set with their signature songs \u201cPontoon,\u201d \u201cBoondocks,\u201d \u201cGirl Crush\u201d and their latest single, \u201cThe Daughters.\u201d<\/p>\n

The night kicked off with a performance of the National Anthem by Lindsay Ell and an opening performance by Jo Dee Messina.<\/p>\n

Saturday\u2019s (June 8) Nissan Stadium performers are Billy Ray Cyrus, Brett Young, Miranda Lambert & Pistol Annies, Luke Combs, Dierks Bentley and Tim McGraw.<\/p>\n
