Gorley is ASCAP\u2019s reigning country songwriter of the year, an award he\u2019s won six times. \u201cThere\u2019s never a dull moment saying nice things about you,\u201d Brinker told him.<\/p>\n<p>Josh Tomlinson spoke for BMI on behalf of Copperman and Eli Young Band. He pointed out that Copperman has twice been BMI\u2019s songwriter of the year and that \u201cLove Ain\u2019t\u201d is EYB\u2019s fourth No. 1 (the earlier ones being \u201cCrazy Girl,\u201d \u201cEven If It Breaks Your Heart\u201d and \u201cDrunk Last Night\u201d).
