Sean Curran, the Fraser Winter Park police officer who was involved in a domestic dispute in late June.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Nicholas Catanzarite granted a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skyhinews.com\/news\/da-files-motion-to-dismiss-harassment-charge-against-fwp-police-officer\/\">motion to dismiss the charge<\/a> filed by the District Attorney\u2019s Office last week based on a lack of evidence proving Curran intended to harass, annoy or alarm the woman involved in the dispute.<\/p>\n<p>However, separate from the criminal investigation, the Fraser Winter Park Police Department conducted an administrative review into whether Curran violated any department policies. Ultimately, that investigation has resulted in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skyhinews.com\/news\/department-dismisses-fraser-winter-park-officer-involved-in-domestic-dispute\/\">termination of his employment<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Fraser Winter Park Police Department holds all our employees to a high standard of behavior,\u201d Police Chief Glen Trainor said in a news release. \u201cEvery investigation of a violation of policy is taken very seriously.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Grand County Sheriff\u2019s deputies arrived at Curran\u2019s residence around 8:45 p.m. on June 28, where both Curran and his partner told officers they were in a verbal dispute. According to the affidavit, Curran\u2019s partner claimed that he pushed or shoved her multiple times during the incident, but didn\u2019t hit her.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, the motion to dismiss describes the instances where Curran made physical contact with the woman as \u201cminor\u201d and \u201cincidental to (Curran\u2019s) effort to leave the area.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following Judge Catanzarite\u2019s dismissal of the case, Curran filed a motion to seal the case, which the judge has yet to rule on.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skyhinews.com\/news\/charge-against-fraser-winter-park-officer-involved-in-domestic-dispute-dropped\/?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Sky-Hi News<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Monday, a judge dismissed the charge of harassment against Sgt.
