The iconic Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, Texas was filled to capacity on Monday night (Sept. 23). So much so, that 5,000 more<\/em> people stood outside<\/em> Texas\u2019 oldest dance hall to watch the Garth Brooks Dive Bar show going on on the inside.<\/p>\n

Screens and speakers were set up for the massive overflow, since only 800 tickets were given away for the intimate show. It was the third stop on Brooks\u2019 Dive Bar tour. The first was at Joe\u2019s on Weed Street in Chicago<\/a> in July. The second was at Buck Owens\u2019 Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, CA, in August.<\/p>\n

But if you missed those, there are still four more stops scheduled.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf the three things that God lets me do \u2014 write, record and perform \u2014 my favorite thing is getting to perform, man,\u201d Brooks said on Facebook right before the show started, \u201c\u2018cause it\u2019s with the people that make these songs what they are.\u201d<\/p>\n

The tour was inspired by Brooks\u2019 current duet with Blake Shelton, \u201cDive Bar,\u201d which was penned by Brooks and Mitch Rossell and Bryan Kennedy.<\/p>\n
