{"id":18890,"date":"2019-09-28T19:15:50","date_gmt":"2019-09-29T01:15:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.skyhinews.com\/?p=60518"},"modified":"2019-09-28T19:15:50","modified_gmt":"2019-09-29T01:15:50","slug":"west-grand-faces-vail-christian-on-homecoming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/krky\/local-news\/west-grand-faces-vail-christian-on-homecoming\/","title":{"rendered":"West Grand faces Vail Christian on homecoming"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>West Grand put together a stout second-half effort, but the Mustangs\u2019 rally came up short vs. Vail Christian in a 12-6 loss Friday night in Kremmling.<\/p>\n<p>Vail Christian took an early lead with two TDs in the second quarter.<\/p>\n<p>At halftime, West Grand introduced this year\u2019s homecoming court, each student escorted onto the field by his or her mentor, after a performance from the Mustangs Spirit Team.<\/p>\n<p>The Mustangs defense responded in the second half by holding the Saints scoreless throughout the remaining two quarters.<\/p>\n<p>In the fourth quarter, West Grand junior Rene Dominguez ran for a 23-yard touchdown, and Jesus Dominguez intercepted a Vail Christian pass with about five minutes left in the game.
