{"id":18905,"date":"2019-09-30T09:22:10","date_gmt":"2019-09-30T15:22:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.skyhinews.com\/?p=60593"},"modified":"2019-09-30T09:22:10","modified_gmt":"2019-09-30T15:22:10","slug":"man-dies-in-weekend-rollover-near-walden","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/krky\/local-news\/man-dies-in-weekend-rollover-near-walden\/","title":{"rendered":"Man dies in weekend rollover near Walden"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A driver was killed in a wreck on Saturday near Walden, according to a news release from Colorado State Patrol.<\/p>\n<p>At approximately 9:14 p.m., troopers responded to a one-vehicle fatal crash on Jackson County Road 5, about 18 miles west of Walden.<\/p>\n<p>A green 2000 Toyota Tundra pickup was northbound on County Road 5 when the driver lost control on the washboard dirt road, skidded off the right side of the road down a steep embankment and rolled multiple times, the release.<\/p>\n<p>The driver, Jonathan Cole, 30, of Longmont, was ejected as the pickup rolled. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jackson County Coroner.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe crash is currently under investigation by the Colorado State Patrol. Speed and impairment are suspected as contributing factors in the crash,\u201d the release stated.&nbsp;\u201cThe roadway was dry at the time of the crash, and no adverse weather conditions were noted in the immediate area.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Assisting agencies included Walden Fire, Jackson County EMS, Jackson County Sheriff Office, Jackson County Coroner, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, East West Towing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.skyhinews.com\/news\/man-dies-in-weekend-rollover-near-walden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Sky-Hi News<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A driver was killed in a wreck on Saturday near Walden, according to a news release from Colorado State Patrol.
