The Grand County Library District has two openings on its board that the district is currently looking to fill.<\/strong>

The Grand County Library District is seeking candidates for
\ntwo open positions on its board of trustees, one representing District 2 and
\none at-large.<\/p>\n

District 2 encompasses the central portion of Grand County,
\nincluding Granby and Grand Lake, but both positions are open to any county
\nresident.<\/p>\n

The trustees are tasked with working as a team to protect the
\ninterests of the broader library community by advising the executive director
\nin the policies, promotion and development of the district.<\/p>\n

Preferred qualifications include a strong desire to preserve
\nand promote the library as a public forum for the sharing of information and
\nideas without prejudice; a willingness and ability to give time and talent to
\nthe library; participating in monthly meetings and occasional committee meetings,
\nspecial library functions and other community events at which the library is
\npromoted; and the ability to assess information and make important decisions.<\/p>\n

Terms are two years, and there are no term limits. A job description is available at http:\/\/www.gcld.org\/trustees<\/a>.
