Inside Bob Scott\u2019s gift shop adorned with turquoise jewelry, he greets every customer who enters in a reassuring Texan accent: \u201cWelcome in. Let me know if I can answer any questions.\u201d <\/p>\n

At Bob Scott\u2019s Authentic Indian Jewelry, visitors can find a large collection of Native American products, most of which Scott purchases directly from the tribes. This includes necklaces, belt buckles, bracelets, earrings and much more. <\/p>\n

The diverse selection is likely part of the reason why his business won best gift shop in Grand County, but Scott\u2019s detailed approach and caring manner contributed to his shop also winning best customer service. <\/p>\n

Scott happily answers any questions to visitors stopping by, like one from a Broomfield couple about the difference between vintage and antique jewelry. <\/p>\n

\u201cVintage is over 50 years old, while antique is over 100 years old,\u201d Scott said. \u201cI try to be very precise in how I present things.\u201d <\/p>\n

This is Scott\u2019s 51st season in Grand Lake. He says his long history here has allowed him to become familiar with lots of people in the surrounding areas. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been here so long I\u2019m buying back things I once sold,\u201d Scott said. <\/p>\n

Originally from Texas, Scott visited Grand Lake in the summers with his family. As he got older, he continued that tradition, which eventually led to his business in downtown Grand Lake that is open six months a year. <\/p>\n

Having been in the town for so long, Scott said he has seen Grand Lake triple in size while remaining true to its origins. This is something he hopes continues. <\/p>\n

\u201cI so want Grand Lake to grow and prosper without losing its small town charm,\u201d Scott said. <\/p>\n
