On a 6,000-acre easement, Devil\u2019s Thumb Ranch offers rustic lodging with upscale amenities. Folks must have appreciated this, because it was voted best lodging in Grand County this year. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re proud to have won that one,\u201d said Brian Ripley, chief revenue officer at the ranch. <\/p>\n

The location offers views of the continental divide that Ripley called unparalleled. <\/p>\n

The lodging itself is done in \u201cparkitecture\u201d style, which references buildings created in a style that is meant to harmonize with the natural environment. <\/p>\n

Ripley said the ranch provides a large range of amenities that enhances the lodging experience. Guests at Devil\u2019s Thumb Ranch have access to a spa, award-winning restaurants, horseback riding, cattle driving and private fly-fishing waters. <\/p>\n

There is a large push for sustainability at the ranch as well. Devil\u2019s Thumb Ranch attempts to be as eco-friendly as possible by using reclaimed materials, generating energy with solar panels and offering water bottle filling stations on every floor. <\/p>\n

Ripley described the rooms themselves as nicely furnished and elegantly styled. <\/p>\n

The amenities provided at the lodge enhance the experience, but Ripley said the intimate and secluded getaway is what allows guests to get back to nature. <\/p>\n

\u201cI think what people enjoy the most is the remote intimacy and the ability to connect with the pristine land all around it,\u201d Ripley said. <\/p>\n
