The app works for both the Ikon Pass and the Ikon Base Pass.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we enter the second season of the Ikon Pass, we are excited to offer Ikon Pass holders an app to enhance their experience on the mountain as they visit any of our 41 destinations around the globe,\u201d said Erik Forsell, Chief Marketing Officer for Alterra, in a release. \u201cThe app is a new outlet for the Ikon Pass community to engage with our destinations and other pass holders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Not only will the app act as a mobile Ikon Pass, but it will display the number of days skied, destinations visited and access days used and remaining, as well as which friends and family vouchers used and remaining.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from being able to access the Ikon Pass from a phone, the app also includes features like mountain stats for all 41 destinations, trail maps and check conditions via mountain cameras.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also a social app where users can create friend groups, track their friends live on the mountain and send in-app messages.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For competitive skiers and riders, the app will have a leaderboard feature, which shows the top 25 guests based on days, lifts and vertical feet for each Ikon Pass destination and can be sorted by day, week, month, and the entire season.<\/p>\n<p>The Ikon Pass provides access to 41 ski resorts across 5 continents totaling over 84,000 acres of terrain and almost 5,000 different trails.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.skyhinews.com\/news\/alterra-launches-ikon-pass-mobile-app\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Sky-Hi News<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alterra rolled out its new Ikon Pass mobile app, which can be used at all 41 of its destinations.Ikon mobile screenshot Alterra Mountain Company, Winter Park Resort\u2019s parent company, has released a new tool to help skiers and riders keep track of their passes with the Ikon mobile app, which is now available for download.
