USA Today\u2019s list sites the resort\u2019s seven territories and over 3,000 acres as one of its main draws.<\/p>\n<p>The resort also continues to work on making it easier and faster to access all of its terrain with continuous updates, including this year\u2019s big project to replace the Sunnyside Lift in the Mary Jane territory with a high-speed six-seater.<\/p>\n<p>Alterra Mountain Company, Winter Park Resort\u2019s parent company, also had its Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows resort in Olympic Village, California and Crystal Mountain Resort in Enumclaw, Washington rank second and seventh respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Ikon Pass holders have the chance to visit a few other resorts also on the list, including the No. 4 resort, Revelstoke Mountain in British Columbia, Canada; No. 5 Copper Mountain; and No. 8 Big Sky Resort in Big Sky, Montana.<\/p>\n<p>So far this season, Winter Park Resort has received around 70 inches of snow and has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winterparkresort.com\/the-mountain\/mountain-report#\/\">17 lifts and 41 trails open<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.skyhinews.com\/news\/winter-park-resort-still-the-best-ski-resort-in-north-america\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Sky-Hi News<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Skiers wave from a chair lift on Winter Park&#8217;s opening day Saturday.Courtesy of Winter Park For the second year in a row, Winter Park Resort has claimed the title of the best ski resort in North America in the USA Today\u2019s reader\u2019s choice competition 10Best.
