The resort is reporting 28 inches of new snow from the weekend&#8217;s storm.<\/strong><br \/><em>Courtesy Carl Frey<\/em><\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>With almost nonstop snow over Winter Park Resort the past few days, resort officials reported getting over two feet of fresh powder on the mountain.<\/p>\n<p>In a Sunday morning announcement, the resort said its storm total for the past two days is a hefty 28 inches of new snow, bringing the season total to 114 inches.<\/p>\n<p>According to OpenSnow.com, that brings the resort to 164% of average snowpack for the season.<\/p>\n<p>In anticipation of ideal conditions, the resort <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skyhinews.com\/news\/new-sunnyside-lift-opens-thursday-at-winter-park-resort\/\">debuted its $6 million Sunnyside Lift<\/a> in the Mary Jane territory on Thursday and opened parts of Vasquez territory Friday.<\/p>\n<p>In all, the resort currently has 21 lifts running, 107 trails open and an over 50 inch base.<\/p>\n<p>OpenSnow.com is predicting slightly more snowfall with the chance for an inch on both Sunday and Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Other parts of Grand County also received a new blanket of white, with Ski Granby Ranch reporting a total of six inches during the storm and roughly eight inches in Rocky Mountain National Park, according to a SNOTEL site at Bear Lake.<\/p>\n<p>One county over, Summit\u2019s ski areas also seemed to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/summit-county-ski-areas-tally-as-much-as-28-inches-from-2-day-storm-with-more-on-the-way\/\">big beneficiaries of this weekend\u2019s storm.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.skyhinews.com\/news\/weekend-storm-brings-over-two-feet-of-fresh-snow-to-winter-park-resort\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Sky-Hi News<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A skier at Winter Park Resort on Saturday hits a powder stash.
