{"id":20610,"date":"2019-12-17T15:50:21","date_gmt":"2019-12-17T22:50:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.skyhinews.com\/?p=62155"},"modified":"2019-12-18T09:15:13","modified_gmt":"2019-12-18T16:15:13","slug":"burrrrr-tabernash-got-down-to-22-degrees-tuesday-morning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/krky\/local-news\/burrrrr-tabernash-got-down-to-22-degrees-tuesday-morning\/","title":{"rendered":"BURRRRR: Tabernash got down to -22 degrees Tuesday morning"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.skyhinews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2019\/12\/Screen-Shot-2019-12-17-at-3.42.21-PM.png\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p>Mountain towns across Colorado woke up to bone chilling temperatures on Tuesday, and Tabernash was actually one of the coldest places in the state.<\/p>\n<p>According to the National Weather Service, Antero Reservoir was the coldest place in Colorado and in the lower 48 states on Tuesday with the mercury registering -44 degrees Fahrenheit.<\/p>\n<p>At 8,942 feet, the reservoir isn\u2019t much higher in elevation than Tabernash, which sits at 8,333 feet and got down to -22 degrees Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>By comparison, Tabernash was a little warmer than Dillon (-18 degrees) but not as cold as Waverly (-32 degrees) or Cowdrey (-32 degrees). Extreme cold also hit Granby and Kremmling, which both recorded morning temps at -17 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Wednesday\u2019s forecast calls for a high of 36 degrees, a low of 10 degrees and sunny skies.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\" readability=\"5.6843971631206\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"5.6843971631206\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It&#8217;s COLD in the mountains this morning!
