Middle Park junior Katie Trail led the Panthers\u2019 scoring with a team-high 13 points Friday vs. Skyview.<\/p>\n

For Trail, it was the third time in three games this season that she\u2019s scored in double figures. Middle Park kept the game close throughout the contest, though Skyview hit free throws and a couple key shots late in the game to win 38-31.<\/p>\n

Still, coach Mike Reigan was impressed with his team, which has battled through sickness and injuries early this season.<\/p>\n

With a dominating victory over Clear Creek and two close losses to Summit and Skyview so far this year, Reigan knows Middle Park isn\u2019t too far from turning those narrow defeats into wins.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe just have to take care of the little things,\u201d he said. \u201cThe little things are hurting us, and that comes from practice and game experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

The coach is optimistic with juniors Abby Kuhnel and Holly Harms developing into key roles. Also, with players like juniors Angie Butler, Brianna Renteria and senior Briana Baker, Reigan believes his team has a lot of potential this year.<\/p>\n
