He\u2019d had a blood alcohol content of .173. He was released from jail later that morning and today was set as his court date. <\/p>\n<p>After the arrest, Hunt posted on Twitter with a mea culpa. \u201cWednesday night, I decided to drive myself home after drinking at a friend\u2019s show in downtown Nashville,\u201d Hunt wrote. \u201cIt was a poor and selfish decision and I apologize to everyone who was unknowingly put at risk and let down by it. It won\u2019t happen again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hunt is probably right about that, because according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tn.gov\/content\/tn\/safety\/publicsafety\/duioutline.html#duifirst\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Tennessee\u2019s Department of Safety and Homeland Security<\/a>, there are a few different results that may come out of today\u2019s hearing (assuming this is Hunt\u2019s first offense). He could get any of the following:<\/p>\n<p>License revocation for one year, Restricted License available.<\/p>\n<p>An order to participate in an alcohol and drug treatment program.<\/p>\n<p>An order to pay restitution to any person suffering physical injury or personal loss.<\/p>\n<p>A $350-$1,500 fine.<\/p>\n<p>With towing, bail, attorney, high risk insurance, court costs, school, and reinstatement fees, first offense average costs could add up to $4,900.<\/p>\n<p>Ignition Interlock Device installed at his expense.
