It was something I really wanted to get out, and couldn\u2019t really get it out. And so that magical day in January \u2014 the last day of the sessions in LA, we\u2019d been there three weeks \u2014 and Brandi (Carlile) came in and asked me, \u2019What do you think about finishing that song you started so many years ago?\u2019 She started the first line, and we were just off to the races after that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tucker wrote the song with Carlile, Tim Hanseroth and Phil Hanseroth. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was familiar to me because I\u2019d had the chorus for so long,\u201d she said, \u201cand the words just seemed to flow out of me. And it was one of those songs that was just meant to be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBring My Flowers Now\u201d is just a special song, Tucker says, period. \u201cAll the way around,\u201d she added. \u201cIt would\u2019ve been premature if I\u2019d have done it any sooner than now. It came at the right time, the right place, just hit people in the right spot.
