It took the tragedy of Kobe Bryant\u2019s death for the world to start celebrating how it feels to be the father of daughters. <\/p>\n

And so, here we are welcoming the #GirlDad movement with open arms. <\/p>\n

Dierks Bentley and Justin Moore have been the first couple of country stars out there to share how much they love their roles as the fathers of daughters. And hopefully soon, stars like Tim McGraw, Jake Owen, Keith Urban, Kane Brown, Tyler Hubbard, Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Jordan Davis, Thomas Rhett, Granger Smith, Jason Aldean and more will follow their lead. <\/p>\n

This all started when ESPN\u2019s Elle Duncan shared her story of the time she asked Bryant<\/a> for advice on raising girls during one of her interviews with the basketball legend.<\/p>\n

\u201cWithout hesitation, he said, \u2019I would have five more girls if I could. I\u2019m a girl dad,’\u201d Duncan recalled Bryant saying.<\/p>\n

Bryant, 41, and his daughter Gianna Bryant, 13, were in his private helicopter when it crashed<\/a> in the Los Angeles County suburb of Calabasas on Jan. 26. All nine people aboard the helicopter died.
The Bryants were on their way to a basketball game at the Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks. Bryant was expected to coach his daughter\u2019s team at the game. <\/p>\n

While the news of the two deaths in the Bryant family shook the world, no one\u2019s heart as is heavy as Bryant\u2019s wife Vanessa and their three surviving daughters Natalia, Bianka, and Capri.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are completely devastated by the sudden loss of my adoring husband, Kobe \u2014 the amazing father of our children; and my beautiful, sweet Gianna,\u201d she shared on Instargram. \u201cI\u2019m not sure what our lives hold beyond today, and it\u2019s impossible to imagine life without them. But we wake up each day, trying to keep pushing because Kobe, and our baby girl, Gigi, are shining on us to light the way. Our love for them is endless \u2014 and that\u2019s to say, immeasurable. I just wish I could hug them, kiss them and bless them. Have them here with us, forever.
