He died peacefully as he played his guitar. Rick was born in Des Moines, Iowa, graduated from Dowling High School and attended Ellsworth Community College.<\/p>\n<p>After college, he resided with his sister, Diane, in Berkley, California. Rick worked for Greyhound Bus Company and finally landed in a place he called home, Colorado. This was a perfect match because he loved skiing and the snowy mountains captivated him.<\/p>\n<p>Rick was the \u201cInstructor\u2019s instructor\u201d with the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD), serving passionately for many years, guiding disabled athletes down Winter Park\u2019s beautiful ski runs and allowing them the joy that he found in skiing. Rock also taught skiing at Winter Park and worked with elite athletes.<\/p>\n<p>His abilities extended far and wide as he volunteered at music festivals and drove for Home James Transportation. Rock was the very heart and soul of Eagle Wind Sound Recording Studio and was loved by many friends in Fraser Valley.<\/p>\n<p>Rick is survived by his sisters: Cassandra (James) Flomo, Iowa; Theresa \u201cTerri\u201d Stone, Maryland; brother, Les (Claudette) Stone, California; nephew, Andre\u2019 Stone; nieces: Jamila Flomo and Kimberly Jones, and numerous cousins and friends.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Diane Carol Stone.<\/p>\n<p>Heartfelt thanks to the Church of the Eternal Hills, Eagle Wind Sound Recording Studios and the Fraser Community.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to:<\/p>\n<p>National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD), write \u201cRick Stone Memorial\u201d in the memo line.&nbsp; NCSD, 1801 Mile High Stadium Circle, suite 1500, Denver, CO 80204.<\/p>\n<p>Eagle Wind Recording Studios \u201cRock Stone Recording Scholarship for Young Musicians\u201d&nbsp; c\/o The Impact Plan, P.O.
