{"id":22330,"date":"2020-04-09T15:05:24","date_gmt":"2020-04-09T21:05:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.skyhinews.com\/?p=64137"},"modified":"2020-04-09T15:05:24","modified_gmt":"2020-04-09T21:05:24","slug":"assistance-starts-flowing-from-small-business-fund","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/krky\/local-news\/assistance-starts-flowing-from-small-business-fund\/","title":{"rendered":"Assistance starts flowing from small business fund"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"50.808030112923\">\n<p>Grand Lake\u2019s elected leaders decided on Monday to contribute $25,000 to the Small Business Assistance Fund being administered by the Grand Foundation, bringing the fund up to $390,000 in municipal contributions.<\/p>\n<p>So far, Grand County ($100,000), Winter Park ($100,000), Fraser ($100,000), Granby ($50,000), Kremmling ($15,000) and Grand Lake have all pledged various amounts to seed the fund designed to help Grand County\u2019s small businesses weather the coronavirus closures.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe got to help these small businesses,\u201d said Megan Ledin, executive director at the Grand Foundation, explaining the foundation doesn\u2019t normally step in to help for-profit businesses but is doing so now because people in Grand County will suffer if they don\u2019t have jobs to go back to.<\/p>\n<p>So far, the foundation has received more than 120 applications for assistance.
