KSKE Tower Update

Hello Ski Country Nation!

You may have noticed, we haven’t been our best-selves lately and here’s why…

At the end of December, our main tower that we use to transmit our signal to you up on Castle Peak in Eagle, broke in half…literally.

The KSKE tower at Castle Peak has snapped in half…

Yeah…It’s not supposed to look like that, and those big black antennas aren’t supposed to be flapping in the wind either, they don’t like that very much.

We’re still determining why this happened but this is why our signal area has been significantly reduced since the beginning of the year.

So, what happens now? Our engineering team just placed a new temporary antenna that should allow for better coverage through the valley.

As you can see, the difference in height and size of the original black antennas and this one is major. This affects the range of the signal so it will not be as strong as it was before this happened, however this is the best short term solution until it’s permanently fixed just as soon as we can get a new tower & new antennas transported up to the site. In the meantime, we are constantly tweaking the signal to provide the best experience possible.

We appreciate your patience while we continue to work on fixing this. If we aren’t loud and clear where you are, the party continues 24/7 if you stream us for free here on our website, using your phone, and if you have a smart speaker at home, you can get us on there too! You can get all the details on how to do all of that by going here.

Thank you for listening!
