Meredith\u2019s family said that he had been struggling with bipolar disorder for nearly two decades before he took his own life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Meredith\u2019s sister-in-law, Sarah Meredith, has set up a memorial fund in Dimetri\u2019s honor to benefit the National Alliance on Mental Illness. NAMI is the nation\u2019s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.
